Biography: 2/16/08 For Release. Steve Byers is a self-contained artist. Steve writes, performs and produces all of his music. He is currently signed to Rescue Records, Pasadena, Ca.. Rescue Records specializes in placing music into film and television programs. December, 2007, two of Steve’s songs, “Chili Dawg”, and “Memphis Rocks” were used as background music for the TNT Series, “Saving Grace”, starring Holly Hunter. Spring 2008 the movie, “Walker Payne”, starring Jason Patric, Sam Shepherd, Bruce Dern, and Drea de Mateo (The Sopranos) will be released with two of Steve’s songs, “Layem Down”, and “Ready to Rip” as background music for the film. Steve’s music is roots based and is influenced by Rockabilly, Swing, and 50’s Rock and Roll. Steve’s latest release: “Steve Byers, Artist” can be purchased at CD Baby.
